Project New Hope
In order to give back to the community this year the Worcester District Registry of Deeds donated in November 2022 food and supplies to the Veterans at Project New Hope. The staff enjoys giving back to the community we live in and serve.
Princeton Senior Center
It was a beautiful sunny day. The drive to Princeton was beautiful it had snowed a few days before and the trees were still all covered with snow. But the people showed up for the presentation with Katie and Stephanie. They were ready with their questions and it was a great turn out. Thank you to the Senior Center and everyone who was there.
Sutton Senior Center
In February 2023 our Worcester District Registry of Deeds newsletter Highlighted the Town of Sutton and in March we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit the Sutton Senior Center. The presentation went very well, and it was even recorded for the Sutton Local Access TV station. Thank you to all that joined us that day.
Worcester Senior Center ~ St. Patrick’s Day
The annual corned beef and cabbage lunch was a huge success. Among the over 100 residents that came also Katie Toomey, Register of the Worcester District Registry of Deeds and State Representative Daniel Donahue was there as well. The Worcester Senior Center Staff definitely had their hands full, but it went off without a hitch.
Oxford Senior Center
So many people here today, many great questions asked and answered. In talking to the many people here today it was not only the Oxford residents, I spoke with a few that were from Auburn and also a woman from Webster. Your home is usually one of your largest assets and you want to make sure everything is in order. At all events everyone is welcome.
YWCA of Cental Mass – Women Authors
Katie Toomey, Register of the Worcester County District Registry of Deeds attended the Women Authors Evening at WPI with Joseph D. Early, Jr., Worcester County District Attorney’s Office. It was sponsored by the YWCA of Central Massachusetts about eliminating racism empowering women.
Shrewsbury Senior Center
In April we had a great turn out at the Shrewsbury Senior Center. Thank you for inviting us to do the presentation regarding real estate and how your Deed can affect what happens to your property in the future.
Paxton Senior Center
Katie Toomey did a presentation on Deeds, Types of Ownership, Homestead Act and how to plan for the future.
Grafton Senior Center
All the participants that joined us that day had a great dialogue about land ownership and how probate issues can legally affect what happens to your property.
Northbridge Senior Center
Was a very good crowd at the Northbridge Senior Center. Many questions were asked, and we hope we were able to answer them and point you in the right direction. We hope to see you again very soon.
World Smile Day
Friday, October 6, 2023 was the 25th anniversary of World Smile Day.

Milford Senior Center – November 17, 2023
What a fantastic group of people that came to speak with Katie Toomey that day. Many thanks to everyone that attended, and I hope I was able to answer a few of the very important questions.
Veteran’s Inc. – November 21,2023 Harvest Fest
What an honor to volunteer for that day. The number of Volunteers was amazing to help the Veteran’s get a Thanksgiving meal to take home and have for the holiday just to support our veteran’s and give back a little for their service to our country. The music was playing, and smiles were everywhere.
Happy Thanksgiving! – Worcester District Registry of Deeds Thanksgiving Fundraiser 2023
Every year the Worcester District Registry of Deeds does a fundraiser of some type and this Thanksgiving we partnered with The Grafton Senior Center. For the first time they hosted an event and had a Thanksgiving meal on November 23, 2023. For the Seniors of Grafton and surrounding towns. They served dinner for 100 people. The generous people who work in the office at the Worcester District Registry of Deeds donated money and we made up personal care bags for all the people that attended. I want to thank all of the people I work with for your support.
Shrewsbury Council on Aging and Senior Center Creative Holiday Display contest
The Shrewsbury Council on Aging and Senior Center invited us to join the Creative Holiday Display contest. And we happily accepted. We were invited to participate, and we decided to go the unique route and create a masterpiece by incorporating a specific theme specific to the 55 cities and towns we serve at the Worcester District Registry of Deeds. Worcester Senior Center December 19, 2023
Today we spent a few hours at the Worcester Senior Center answering Questions and informing homeowners about the new online protection service on your home. It’s called Consumer Notification Service. It’s Free and you can enroll on the home page of our website.
