Kathryn A. Toomey was sworn into office in January 2019 as the 10th Register to serve the District, the first new Register in over 40 years as well as the first female Register.
A native of Holden, Kathryn attended Wachusett High School. She spent her undergraduate years between UMass-Amherst, University of Hawaii, and abroad for international programs in France. Additionally, Kathryn graduated from Suffolk University Law School in 2000 and is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Prior to her election as Register, Kathryn opened her own firm in downtown Worcester, specializing in real estate law.
Ms. Toomey currently resides in Worcester, Massachusetts and is fully committed to effectively serving the needs of the communities making up the 55 cities and towns that make up the District.
