This popular local event has returned to in person operations after the last two years of being virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Monson Senior Center welcomed the Registry of Deeds for an Informational Workshop. All attendees received a free certified copy of their deed and homestead documents.
The Southwick Senior Center provided coffee and pastries during our Informational Seminar. Residents received free certified copies of their deed and homestead.
The interim Wilbraham Senior Center and Recreation Dept. hosted the Registry of Deeds Informational Workshop while their brand new center is under construction! The residents of Wilbraham received a free certified copy of their Deed and Declaration of Homestead. The seminar was video taped and uploaded to their information channel.
RiverMills Senior Center in Chicopee invited the registry to speak about the Homestead Act, Consumer Notification System and searching on the website. The senior center supplied coffee and pastries for the attendees.
The "Registry-on-the go" visited Brimfield to speak about the Homestead Act, Consumer Notification System, and the functions of the Registry of Deeds.
As of March 16th, 2011, legislative changes to the Homestead Act have taken effect. There were significant changes including that Declaration of Homestead for mobile/ manufactured homes are now filed at the Registry of Deeds.
