Register’s Bio
Patricia Harris is the 14th Register to serve the Berkshire Middle District Registry of Deeds since its inception in 1790.
Currently in her third term and 14th year as Register, Patricia has developed a level of experience and institutional knowledge that benefits her community; particularly in helping constituents protect their investments from deed fraud and other types of deception.
Patricia proudly served as President of the Massachusetts Registers and Assistant Registers of Deeds Association. During her tenure, she helped guide the organization through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, including significant changes to operations and the way Registers of Deeds serve the public.
Growing up in the county seat of Pittsfield and now residing in the rural town of Hinsdale, Patricia has a deep appreciation for the diverse communities that make up her district, as well as a firsthand perspective on the needs of both larger and smaller communities.
