Please note that as of January 1, 2025, the 2018 Massachusetts Deed Indexing Standards have been replaced with the 2025 Massachusetts Deed Indexing Standards. The new Standards may be accessed here and on the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds website on the “Recording Requirements” page. Several notable updates in the 2025 Standards include, Section 5, Antenuptial Agreements; Section 8 regarding recordability of Attorney’s Liens; and Section 12-2 addressing copy certifications by notaries public.
