We are pleased to announce that our front entrance is now accessible. It took some time but we are sure you will find the renovations a much needed and positive improvement to the Registry.

At this time, our protocol will remain the same. We will maintain communication and contact to a minimal in the front lobby area.

Kindly wait for Registry Personnel to assist you with your recordings and any questions you may have.

(For further info related to Covid – See below.)

The Northern Berkshire Registry of Deeds remains open for business. However, with all that is still evolving with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic I would suggest that our customers may still opt to use other methods available for recording.

We do not know how the months ahead will unfold and it may be in your best interest to contact one of these companies listed below about getting on board with E-File. Electronic Filing may be the only option at some point in the near future.  Things at this point are very uncertain.  (Please keep in mind that this Registry does not E-File Registered Land Documents).

Our E-file Vendors are:

Simplifile -www.simplifile.com | csc -www.erecording.com | Epartners -www.goepn.com

You may also choose to send your documents via UPS, Fedex or USPS to the Northern Berkshire Registry of Deeds, 65 Park Street, Suite 1, Adams, MA  01220.

The Registry will not be open for real estate closings at this time.

As for general public searching or inquires, I am asking that you call the office at (413) 743-0035 for assistance and we will help you in any way we can.

*If you choose to come to our office we request that you remain in the  front lobby  and wait for Registry Personnel to assist you.  We ask that you review your documents and money carefully so recording proceeds smoothly.  Once documents are recorded we will return them to you in the lobby area.*

I will keep you up to date with any further changes as time progresses.  Thank you for your patience and understanding during this entire time. Stay Healthy, Stay Safe.
