The Worcester District Registry of Deeds has been erecording documents since November, 2010. At present, 80% of Recorded Land documents are electronically recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Recorded Land and Registered Land documents that meet the recording standards of the Registry may be recorded electronically by approved submitters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Common Causes for E-Recording Rejection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Street address of property is missing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Legal description to the property is not attached.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Grantee\u2019s mailing address is not stated (ex. Deed, mortgage, assignment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Notary clause is incomplete. (Ex. Notary\u2019s, expiration date, name of signatory, state or county of acknowledgement missing from clause)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Title reference is not stated or is incorrect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Mortgage book and page reference stated in the discharge is incorrect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Property is not in this Registry District.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Multifunction documents cannot be electronically recorded. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Documents are not legible or pages are scanned out of order. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
