The documents submitted electronically range from dozens of assignments transmitted by major national lenders to full closings conducted by local attorneys.<\/p>\n<p>Recorded Land documents can be electronically recorded at the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds. <strong>Registered Land document cannot be electronically recorded.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Here is an overview of how electronic recording works:<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"the-icons\">\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>Sign up with one of our authorized &#8220;intermediaries&#8221; (see list below)<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>Conduct closing at your office<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>Scan original document to create an electronic image<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>Log on to intermediary&#8217;s secure website and enter data about your document<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>Upload the document image you just created<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>Press &#8220;send to the registry&#8221; button<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>At the registry, your document image and data pop up on one of our recording terminals<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>We verify the quality of the image and the accuracy of your data<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>We press &#8220;record&#8221; button and the document is on record with recording data and document image immediately available on our website<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>You immediately get an electronic receipt with all recording information along with an electronic copy of the recorded document<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"halflings ok\"><\/i>Fees are paid by electronic funds transfer from you to the intermediary to us<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you wish to begin submitting documents electronically, you must enroll with one of the following companies and submit your documents through their respective recording interfaces. For example, a multiple function document would be a discharge releasing a mortgage and an assignment of leases and rents with two distinct books and pages.
